The Shaffers were established in 2005. Our members include supportive husband, Anthony Dean, commonly known as Tony; and loving wife Brandi Michelle. Adorable daughter Addison Rienn added in 06, and precious little Kaden Mikal joined the clan in March 09. We just moved to Washington, but we will always be Idahoans. We love lifes simple pleasures such as watching our daughter play, seeing our son smile, the great outdoors, good food, the company of family and friends, and football of course!

Here's to the weekend!

Friday afternoon Kaden greeted Addi out front as she got off her bus. They were both excited. It was finally the weekend. Weekends are new around this house. Addi has had it easy her whole life, waking up when she wanted and not having a whole heck of a lot to do. But now that she is a big kindergartner,  life is busy, and weekends are fully appreciated. Last Friday the kids ordered pizza and watched a movie, this Friday they wanted McDonald's with a play land. Addi was so excited about it we couldn't say no.
The kids had so much fun, and wore themselves out for bedtime. Addi really enjoyed her weekend. She played video games, watched movies, and spent a day playing with her friend Alana. They played princesses, hide and seek and baked cookies. :o)

The kids have been painting non-stop. I am amazed with the beautiful pictures they create. And they love to hear it! :o)
Kaden the artist!

Addi very pleased with the cute puppy she painted :o)

My table is always full of masterpieces drying.
 Concentrating!
Kaden just can't help but paint himself every time. Yesterday I was so proud of him for mixing colors and making three new shades of green. Then he painted himself green. And then my bath tub was green....

Zucchini done right
Last night I created the tastiest way to get rid of all that zucchini laying around this time of year. Tastiest, but not healthiest. These delightful morsels encompass all the best fair food into one delicious concoction. Corn dogs, fried zucchini, and fried onion all wrapped in one! Since we didn't go to the fair this year, we didn't feel guilty about enjoying all the fried goodness.
2 cups shredded zucchini, 1/2 cup chopped onions, 3 cloves chopped garlic, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 cups corn bread mix, 2  German sausages or hot dogs, cut up.  Mix it all together, and drop by the large spoonful into an oil covered pan. Fry on each side until golden. Dip in mustard. Eat and be happy. :o)

Zucchini Bread was a hit with the kids!
With chocolate chips! :o)
