The Shaffers were established in 2005. Our members include supportive husband, Anthony Dean, commonly known as Tony; and loving wife Brandi Michelle. Adorable daughter Addison Rienn added in 06, and precious little Kaden Mikal joined the clan in March 09. We just moved to Washington, but we will always be Idahoans. We love lifes simple pleasures such as watching our daughter play, seeing our son smile, the great outdoors, good food, the company of family and friends, and football of course!

Well I am sitting here watching the snow fly once again. I really can't wait for Spring. We spent the weekend in Spokane, visiting my family and watching hockey games. Addi has two cousins that play hockey, and we try to make it up to watch them as much as we can. Dawson dedicated the goal he made to Addison. :o) That night we went to a Spokane Chiefs game, and since they were playing their rivals, it made for quite a hockey game. Addison loved that she could cheer and be loud like the rest of the crowd, and I loved that I didn't have to keep her quiet. With all the excitement, she feel asleep half way through, and managed to sleep through all the noise. The Chiefs won 5-1 and at times it felt more like a UFC fight than a hockey game. There were more fights than I can count. It made me wonder at what age fighting is introduced into the sport, and gave me a new reason why they should let the boys play football. It may be rough, but at least you can't throw your helmet off and start decking the other guy in the head.
Addison has been really into having parties lately. I think it all started when we threw the birthday party for Jesus. Now she wants to throw parties all the time. All she needs for a party is some cupcakes, music and a balloon. Tony and I have been having parties pretty frequently because we figure that it won't always be this easy to make her day. Before we know it she will want money and the keys to the car.....

Two things you are going to do (or already did) today:
Shop online for crib bedding/ nursery decor, and maybe go to the furniture store to get a Lazy Boy for Ton Loc so I can have his chair for the nursery.

Two of the longest road trips:
Well the Spring break trip with the girls from Moscow to Las Vegas and then Lake Havasu and back home was a good one. We added quite a few more hours to it by getting on the wrong highway in Nevada and driving through Area 51. It was crazy creepy. And the other would probably be Pocatello to Spokane then down to Mt. Shasta California, back to Spokane and then home to Poky. In a van with my Grandparents and aunts, and stopping at every rest area along the way.....

Three of your favorite beverages:
1) water, apple juice, OJ (subject to change when I am not prego or nursing)

Oh yeah, Super Bowl baby!

Time to bust out the streamers and black and gold m&ms! It's Super Bowl party time! Last time the Steelers went to the SuperBowl I was prego with Addison. But that didn't stop me from throwing one heck of a party, full of Steelers spirit. It was an even sweeter victory because we beat the Seahawks and every person at our house was rooting for them. The Steelers make it back to the SuperBowl this year, and what do you know, I am prego AGAIN. Must be good luck! :o) I can't wait to eat all the yummy food!

Our pretty girl

Make it go away!

God never gives us anything we can't handle. Right now however, I feel like I am at my maximum capacity. Yesterday my back went out. I can't move, it hurts to even breathe. Just what every woman who is 7 months prego wants. Like it isn't hard enough. The air mattress I was sleeping on at work went flat on me Tuesday night, and with all the weight from the baby on top and no support on the bottom two of my ribs were displaced. The pain from that was tolerable, but then that afternoon I coughed, and felt a strong pop in my back and I was in the worst pain of my life and couldn't move. The doctor can't do much for me. I could go to a chiropractor, but they freak me out. I just have to wait it out. In the mean time I am completely useless and overwhelmed with pain. I can't even take care of my daughter, so Tony had to take time off work. At the moment he and Addi are out doing all the shopping. I had planned to get alot of the baby shopping out of the way this weekend, and now I will have to see what Tony comes home with. Lord only knows.........

Enough with the snow already!

Got hit again last night with a bad storm. Dropped another 14in or so. I was stuck at work until about noon because all the roads were closed. Today is supposed to be Tony's day off, but he is on the roof at the store shoveling. He called up some buddies to help him and is paying them 20 bucks an hour to shovel. Not bad for those broke college kids. Hell, if I wasn't 7 months pregnant, I'd do it! But really, enough with the snow. There is plenty here to last us the winter.

Our car is under there somewhere.....
