Adorable daughter Addison Rienn added in 06, and precious little Kaden Mikal joined the clan in March 09. We just moved to Washington, but we will always be Idahoans. We love lifes simple pleasures such as watching our daughter play, seeing our son smile, the great outdoors, good food, the company of family and friends, and football of course!

East City Park

Spent a lovely afternoon with the kids at Addi's favorite Moscow park. She likes it the best because it is usually the busiest, so she has more kids to socialize with. I like how shaded it is with all the pretty trees.

Addi, always the performer, put on a show on the main stage :o) Kaden is her biggest fan!

Kaden loves to climb and absolutely loves slides. Addi has never been a fan of the slide. He keeps me on my toes chasing him around trying to keep him safe. It takes all the energy I have to walk the kids to the park in the heat, chase after them and then walk them home. I don't know how a woman with young kids can go to the gym at all. All I want to do is sit down for a minute!

Addi is already dreaming of her prince charming. Tony and I are going to have to lock her in a tower to keep the boys away ;o)

Ok kids, sit still for one second! :o)

Love the look on Addi's face in this one.

It's a good thing he is so cute, or I might get sick of cleaning up his messes. ( I am referring to Tony, not Kaden. ;o)

Kaden was so excited to eat his cookie, but fell asleep before he could finish it!!

My goal is usually to wear the kids out during the day so Tony and I can have alone time at night. Sometimes that backfires and I end up being the exhuasted one at the end of the day.....

Summa Time~

Everyone is a bit wiped out!
It has been such a busy summer and now we have two weeks to stay home and take it easy. Last weekend we were in Spokane for my Grandma's 80th, and my Pa's 81st combined birthday party. It was so nice to be with the whole family. My grandparents have four daughters, my Mom is the second to youngest. Everyone was there, all four daughters and thier husbands, kids (and spouses) and grandkids. We had a very nice potluck in the park and the kids enjoyed playing at the splash pad. My batteries in my camera died as soon as I tried to take my first picture. Great. With everything I have to think of and plan for I missed that one. Kaden was teething for this trip which made it hard. Poor guy is getting his molars, but he is looking forward to eating a fat steak with his Daddy as soon as they finish coming in. :o) When we left Spokane we decided to go to Couer d'Alene and then take the scenic lake road home. Took us over twice as long but what a beautiful drive. Tony wanted to show me a couple of the lakes he fishes with his buddy, but Addi and I knew them well from boat rides with Mandi and Will. (Really made me miss you Mandi!) Today was the first day all summer that we had a chance to swim in the kid's kiddie pool here at home. Here are the pics! We are having such a great summer!

In other news, Addi learned how to write her name!!!! We are such proud parents :o) She writes Addi on every piece of paper she can find, and everytime I see it I can't help but smile. Way to go Addi! Keep up the good work! Preschool is just around the corner!

Class of 2000, ten years later.

This past weekend was my ten year highschool reunion. It is a day I have thought about in the past and wondered what my life would be like. Now all of the sudden that far off day in the future is the present. It was so much fun to see all my old friends and spend time together catching up. It was great to laugh and reminisce. To see everyone with beautiful families of thier own. The perfect weekend. I went golfing at my home golf course, a place I spent many many of my highschool days. After a round of golf with my old golfing pal Lindy and her husband we went for lunch at the Press Box. That night was the Century class of 2000 reunion and a night out for dinner and drinks. The next day was the 3-union, a joint class of 2000 reunion with all three highschools in Poky. Since we were a part of the very first graduating class of Century, all of us came from one of the other highschools. That night we had a bbq with all our friends and some family too. A jam packed weekend that far exceeded any of my expectations.

All the little girls were chasing my nephew Carson around because he is adorable and also the only boy. I was joking with Addi and told her, "Now don't chase Carson, he is your cousin!" So Addi was yelling at the other girls, "You can't be doing that! He is your cousin!" It was great.

On the LONG and HOT drive back to Moscow we stopped in McCall Idaho to cool off in the lake. It definately made the drive more tolerable.

I took Addi to get her stitches out yesterday. It was a little scary for her but she made it through alive. Addi kept talking while they were trying to get them out and the nurse was scared she was going to cut her. She told Addi she was going to get a doctor to do it, and Addi told her, "You get over here and do it yourself or I am going to freakout! I don't want a doctor coming in here." The nurse listened and we got them out of there. Her chin is on the mend. Tony took her to a movie to celebrate. She told me all about the junk food they ate, and not much about the movie besides "it was beautiful."
