SuPeRkIdS

This afternoon we had a "dress rehersal" for Halloween. I just wanted to make sure the kid's costumes fit and would work for the big day on Saturday. I think I have the cutest little SuperKids in the whole universe! Addi has been practicing saying "Trick or Treat, smell my Toesy Toes!" Crazy little girl. I guess that is her spin on smell my feet!!!

Family Pumpkin Party

Family night began with me teaching Addi how to make soup. She has so much fun cooking and baking with me. When I took pictures of the baby with the pumkins Addi wanted her turn too, so I sat her up on the table as well. :o) We carved pumpkins and listened to Halloween music. There may have been a little bit of dancing. Kaden tried to eat some pumpkin guts. Addi drew a nice face on her pumpkin and was very proud of it. We ate pumpkin icecream and then it was bathtime. Put the kids to bed and Tony and I watched a scary movie. But then I looked over and he was sound asleep. Great. I hate watching scary movies alone......

The Sticker King

So today is a new day and I am feeling better than yesterday. Health and Wellness are on the horizon. I have begun to assess the damage around me and have started addressing the problem areas. Dishwasher is running. Laundry has resumed. Lunch is in the oven. This place will be ship shape by sun down. :o) And with Tony gone, I am looking forward to putting the kids to bed and enjoying an evening of my choice entertainment. That may mean watching We tv all night, or finishing off the last 6 episodes I have of Mad Men. Maybe I will master the drums in Beatles Rock Band. The possibilities are endless. On another note, Kaden got his first tooth!!! And has survived numerous sticker attacks from his older sister!!

Swine Flu - 2 Brizandi - 0

I must have bad luck or have some negative karma coming my way for some reason. I am sick with the dang swine flu agian. It has been so horrible. Fevers so bad every inch of my body ached and felt like I got hit by a Mac Truck. Straight up dripping with sweat from head to toe. It has been ugly. Fevers are finally undercontrol with the use of meds. Now I have to deal with the sore throat and headache. Some nasal/respiratory issues as well. Ahhhhh to be me. And take care of two kids. Today I feel better than yesterday so that is a good sign. I am dreaming of the days ahead when this is behind me. Tony is going hunting this weekend at Three Rivers Resort. Hunting and Resort don't seem compatible in my understanding of the two terms, but hey, what do I know? Tony hasn't hunted since he moved up here, so I guess he was just waiting for an opportunity such as this to arise. I keep dreaming up the day that I will leave Tony with the kids and go do something fabulously fun and exciting. But then again, I can't really think of anything I would want to do without my family.....

Apple of my eye ;o)

Today was a great day with the kids. For this weeks Saturday Adventure we went to Pullman. We did a shopping trip to ShopKo and Addi picked out her first Memory game. She chose the Strawberry Shortcake edition. She is setting it up now so we can play together. From ShopKo we headed to McDonalds, Addi's favorite eatery. :o) From there it was on to the WSU organic farm for some Apple picking. Addi and I picked as many apples as I could carry, which ended up being 60 lbs. Plus Kaden on my back, making it a good load to haul through the orchard and back to the car. Next year I am bringing a wagon! After all the apple picking we stopped at the WSU grizzly bear habitat and the kids enjoyed watching the bears spend a lazy afternoon outside. On the drive back to Moscow Kaden fell asleep so I stopped at a park and parked by the playground so Addi could play and the baby could sleep. Now we are home again, going to play some Memory and then find some good recipes to use up all these apples!!! So far I am planning on apple pancakes, apple pies, apple sauce, and possibly some cider......

6 months old and on the go :o)

Kaden is on the move. He is not doing a full blown crawl yet, but he travels across the room by rolling, scooting, and pulling himself inch by inch. What was first on his agenda? Well he went for the remote on one side of the room and turned off Tony's show, then made his way over to the video games where he was busted trying to take his pick.

cupcake makin machine

The good stuff :o)

I have to say that spending time with my family at home is the greatest thing in the world. Enjoying the simple things in life brings so much happiness and joy. The past 24 hours we have stayed in the house and I have been busy cleaning up messes and savoring every hug and kiss and lots of laughs. We found these cool little dinosaur eggs that fizz and hatch in the bath tub so naturally Addi has been wanting to take lots of baths. Playdough playing and cupcake making. Movies and cuddling and bedtime stories. And of course there have been a couple of fits and some tears shed. Ahhh the emotional roller coaster of a three year old. The Good, the bad, and the ugly: I love my family!

Kati and Family come for a visit

Tony's little sister Kati came to visit us this weekend with her fiance Steve and son JJ. We had fun catching up with them and watching the kids play together. Saturday was a busy day. Addi and JJ played video games and playdough at our house before going on a nice walk to the pet store. We walked home and had lunch and then went to a Fall Festival in Colton, WA. Afterwards we drove down to Clarkston, WA to eat at our favorite pizzaria and ended the night with bowling. The kids each took a good five hour nap on Sunday to re-coop.
