Gingerbread Pumpkin Pie
This years cornacopia. Addi helped me make it and we had alot of fun. Tony was in charge of buying the fruit and veggies for the cornacopia. When he showed up with 4 apples and 2 tomatos I was less than impressed and was forced to changed the name from "Horn of Plenty" to "Horn of Random Few" ;o)
We had my cousin Mike and his family over for Thanksgiving. It was the perfect day. Addi woke up super early because she was so excited and fell asleep waiting for her cousins to get here. It snowed all day, and was absolutely beautiful outside.

Turkey Time!!
The best part of it all for me was using this old electric knife given to me by my Mom. I have many holiday memories from my childhood watching my parents use this knife. Amazing how an old knife would make me feel so close to my family that was so far away.

After dinner the kids played some Wii in the playroom while we all watched the latest UFC fight, and then we all got together for some Rock Band fun. The boys were hilarious and kept wanting to play thier favorite "hockey" songs, like "Eye of the Tiger" over and over and over :o)
It is tradition to decorate for Christmas as soon as Thanksgiving is over. My parents gave me thier Christmas Village a few years back, and it is by far my favorite Christmas decoration. Having young children in the house who are bound and determined to destroy every last piece makes it difficult to display this festive decor. Our solution is to keep it packed away for the next couple years and in the mean time we have a new Little People set for the kids to enjoy. I think I am more excited about this than the kids are! It has a manger that lights up and sings Christmas music, and we also bought the Three Wise Men set and the Inn of Bethlehem set. It is nice to sit back and watch the kids play with the Christmas decor and not get upset.

Happy Thanksgiving friend! I want the Little People nativity so so much, it's definately on my list for santa this year! It makes sense they would have conga line, it was a very big celebration after all!
