About Me

The Shaffers were established in 2005. Our members include supportive husband, Anthony Dean, commonly known as Tony; and loving wife Brandi Michelle. Adorable daughter Addison Rienn added in 06, and precious little Kaden Mikal joined the clan in March 09. We just moved to Washington, but we will always be Idahoans. We love lifes simple pleasures such as watching our daughter play, seeing our son smile, the great outdoors, good food, the company of family and friends, and football of course!

Road Trip!

We packed up the car and headed out on a tri-state road trip to enjoy Tony's days off.
We drove down through the Palouse, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery that we used to call home.

Our good friend Jason's son turned one and we went down to Lewiston to celebrate.

Canyon the cute!

After Canyon's party we drove to Genesee Idaho to celebrate Genesee Days with friends. Genesee Days is the picturesque small town celebration, and I absolutely adore everything about it from the parade, skeet shoot, live music, great food, and amazing fireworks display at the end of the night.

We stopped and visited Addi's buddies Natalie and Gabriel, the kids were so happy to see each other.

We all headed down to the park to hear a great country band called "Coltrain". Addi was their biggest fan. She was ah struck when she saw a couple doing some Country Swing dancing and eventually found a little girl to be her partner, then she danced the night away until it got dark and I made her sit by us and get ready for the fireworks.

On the road again!

The next day we headed for the Columbia River Gorge to visit Tony's brother Shane and his girlfriend Kassi.

Their place was amazing! The perfect mini retreat.

Kassi made some delicious Mac and Cheese
and Strawberry pancakes. Oh MY! They were goooooooood.

The next day Tony and Shane spent the day in Portland together. Kassi has been friends with Tony and I for years, so I was happy to spend the day with my old friend. Kassi and I took the kids and went Thrift store shopping, got a Blizzard from DQ, and went to The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center.

After the museum we went back to Shane and Kassi's and played outside for hours. Kaden had the time of his life playing in the sprinkler. :o)

Kaden enjoying the forts and playground.

Giant Steaks for dinner.

It took the four of us to polish off one steak. Shane originally claimed he could handle one to himself, and later changed his mind.

The next day we all went to Hood River for the day. What a beautiful little city! I would love to live there.

We had a wonderful lunch at Full Sail Brewery, where they brew Full Sail, Sessions, and Henry Weinhards.

We went on a walk through downtown and browsed through some cute shops.

We saw the coolest tree farm I have ever seen. I had to stop and let the kids play for a bit.

And back home today! This is Kaden ready to be home and out of the car. We had such an amazing little vacation. Tony has one more day off to relax and recover, then back to work for him.
