Special Delivery

Here Addi and Kaden are celebrating after they received a Valentine in the mail from Tony's Grandparents. 

Inside they each got a very cool self inflating balloon

you punch the package, and it starts expanding...

until it explodes and this cute little balloon comes floating down.

Of course Addi was full of questions as to how everything worked, and I was curious too! So we had a mini science lesson to figure it out. The balloon is inflated when you punch the balloon and break open a bag of water and citric acid that has a chemical reaction with a baking soda pellet forming carbon dioxide gas that expands the balloon. Pretty cool. :o)

Also inside their Valentine was a couple of cool, crisp, one dollar bills. Enough to put a big smile on any child's face! So of course we had to take a walk to the store so they could spend it! They were so excited, and had already decided on buying a sucker before they left the house.
