Addi has been working very hard to get ready for her upcoming basketball season. Her first official practice is still two days away, but she has been practicing everyday at home. Yesterday while practicing she jammed her finger pretty bad and it is swollen and bruised. We figured she would want to take a day off today with her injury but she said, "Please just let me practice! I want to play through the pain!" So of course we let her. Tony and I watched in amazement as she sunk shot after shot, and smiled proudly at eachother. We are all excited to for the season to start.
Kaden makes us laugh when he wears the Hogle Zoo shirt his Papa Max gave him. He thinks it turns him into an animal rescuer, and he runs around the house with his chest puffed out thinking he is cool and rescues all his animal friends.
We are all recovering from the tragic playoff loss the Steelers had this weekend. Kaden watched the whole game on his Daddy's lap until the horrific ending, which made us all sick to our stomachs! ;o)

That's a Shaffer for you. Tony always had injuries to play through! Rubbing dirt on it always helps too!
